Happy Birthday Cactus - Doodles Paper Playground

Happy Birthday Cactus

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I started by stamping my images out with copic friendly ink.

I colored them with copic markers and used my scan n cut to cut them out.
I really didn't know what I was going to do when I started this card so I did quite a few images.

I die cut all my base panels and my happy word and a banner for my sentiment.

I attached acetate and a single layer of foam tape to the front frame.

I spread out my sequins and added the frame.

I added my cactus and sentiment to the front.

On this card I used sequins from
Doodles Paper Playground Green with Envy Sparkle Blend.
I love how it stands out on the pink background!

Star Shaker Gift Tags - Doodles Paper Playground

Star Shaker Gift Tags

My sister had babies. . . Twins.
Almost two years ago!
We are getting ready to attend their birthday and
wanted to make some super special
gift tags for their gifts

I used a banner die from Craftin Desert Divas for my tag shape.

I didn't have room on my tags for full names so
I just did initials with Lawn Fawns Quinns Capitol ABCs

I stuck to my star theme and used a
single small star on one of the tags.
For the other tag I used Lawn Fawn
Starry Backdrops.

Fun Part!
I used Jillibean Soup Shape Shakers to
hold my sequins for these tags.
I filled the shape shaker with sequins, removed the backing and placed my tag to cover the back.

To finish the tag I colored in the initial with matching copic markers, punched a hole in the upper corner and used some Lawn Fawn silver and white twine so that I can tie the tag to the gifts.

For this card I used the Sparkle Blend Orange You Glad and Green with Envy

Happy Birthday -Doodles Paper Playgrounds

Happy Birthday!

I started with my base panels.
I have a balloon die from Crafting Desert Divas that I used to create my shaker window for this card.
I cut it from my top panel and used the birthday sentiment from Lawn Fawn Hang In There

I added my standard double layer of foam tape. . .

Placed my sequins and added my top panel.

For my images I have a Kraken from Lawn Fawn Loveable Legends, I also used the party hat from that set and I die cut a string for my balloon.

I added them all to the front of my card and added a few sequins as well!

For this card I used the Birthday Bash Blend
from Doodles Paper Playgrounds.

I love that this set has little balloons and party hats in it!

KEEPIN' COOL

KEEPIN' COOL

I made this card using a digi stamp from Craftin Desert Divas, Cool Summer. I uploaded it into my Silhouette Portrait, printed it and them cut it out. I colored it using copic markers and used a grey glitter pen on the glasses.

I took a piece of distress watercolor card stock and used tumbled glass for the sky portion then I used the cloud stamps from Strawberry Jude stamps Rainbows and Roses stamp set. I used a wave border die and cut a post it note and used it as a stencil to apply the salty ocean distress ink for the water. I distressed it with some water flicks and dabbed it off. After that dried I added my sentiment.

I cut my slider track into the panel using Lawn Fawns Slid eon Over dies. I attached my rhino to a penny through the track for my sliding mechanism. I attached the panel to my card front using a double layer of foam tape so that my penny would slide freely. I finished my card by adding some enamel dots.

This little rhino is super cute and I love my background with those clouds!

Life is Sweet

Life is Sweet!

Happy National Strawberry Day!

I made this sweet card using a strawberry layering stamp set from Strawberry Jude Stamps.

I chose a pretty pink/red patterned paper for my base panel and then die cut the white panel using  Craftin Desert Divas Fancy Frame dies.

I used my Misti stamp tool to help me line up the layers for the strawberry, it was really helpful! I added the sentiment that was a Sweet Stamp Shop freebie and a few glittery enamel dots to finish off the card!

There is a sale right now for Strawberry Day over at Strawberry Jude Stamps so you can get your Strawberry Layer set 20% off! Plus all their other great stamps. . . .  Of Course!

Christmas Series - Sending Warm Wishes - January

Sending Warm Wishes!

Hello!

I have decided that this year I was going to try to do my Christmas cards through out the year. I sent a lot less cards than I wanted to because I waited till the last minute and just couldn't make enough cards.

So for 2017 I am going to be doing a set of Christmas Cards on the last weekend of each month. . . So far so good! LOL!

In my card for January I used Craftin Desert Divas stamp set Prickly and Lawn Fawns Hats Off to You and Merry Messages.

I die cut the base panel from the LF sticheched Rectangle dies and cut the oval focal point from LF stitched oval dies. Next I stamped the santa hat, colored with Copic markers and die cut them out.
I cut strips of green paper at an inch wide and then cut them in half to get a 1x6 strip of paper.

Time for the Cactus! I stamped my cactus on the oval piece and then used Prismacolor colored pencil and gamsol to color them in.

Time to assemble!

I started by adding the green strip of paper to the rectangle base. Next I stamped the sentiment from the LF Merry Messages set using LF Noble Fir ink.

I ran all of my ovals and all of my hats through my Xyron sticker makers to make it easier to put together.  I put the santa hat on the cactus then put the oval on the base panel.

I wanted to add a little something to the santa hats so I used a snow marker to create a little puffyness on the hats. To finish off the cards I added a few glittered sprinkles from My Next Stamp.

I really like this card, although I think this one kinda took awhile. I didn't think I would be as labor intensive at it turned out to be. Next time I will try to make it a little easier, or I will do less cards if it ends up having lots of elements to it.

Thank you so much for checking out my post!

I am including this card in the following challenges:
