Time For A New Adventure

Time For A New Adventure

My Card. . . .

I used Lawn Fawn Happy Trails stamp set.

I stamped all images from the stamp set in Simon Says Stamp black ink, heat embossed and colored with Zig Clean Color markers. The background is a sheet of Lawn Fawn Baby Skunk stripes from the polka in the meadow paper pack layered on red cardstock. I did color the visible edge so that it would match the red on the camper.

I cut the sentiment out of adhesive vinyl using my Explore.

I added this sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends set from the new release, So cute!
I added some glitter enamel dots to finish!

I changed how I want this card to be in the middle of making it so I am glad that it turned out good.

 See you next time!

I Wish You Were Here

I Wish You Were Here

My Card. . . .

Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge is Inspired by a Song.
I was inspired by Incubus 'Wish You Were Here' and used the Lawn Fawn Life is Good stamp set.

For my background I cut a panel from watercolor paper using the largest Lawn Fawn large stitched rectangle die, which is conveniently 4.25x5.5

I used Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass to cover my entire panel, then die cut the bottom portion with Lawn Fawn Ocean Waves border dies. I then covered the top sky portion of my panel with a mix of Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire and Salty Ocean. Then I basically did a die cut inlay and placed all the pieces on the front of my card

To create some glittery waves I used the waves stamped with versa mark and heat embossed with Ranger Holographic embossing powder. I love how that turned out and next time I would do this step before doing the die cutting.

I die cut the little island from sandpaper for that sandy look and feel. I stamped the palm tree, crab and shell all in Simon Says Stamp black ink and colored with Zig Clean Color brush markers. I put some clear wink of stella and glossy accents over the shell, a few white highlights on the crab with a white jelly roll pen and used foam tape to adhere the palm tree and crab to the island.

I found these great felt clouds at Michael's and had been dying to use them! I cut one in half to use on the edges of the card and applied some stickles the edges. I took a line from the song to use as my sentiment and cut it from adhesive vinyl. For the finishing touch I added some doodlebug sprinkles, love these things SO much.

I like this card  a lot! It's not what I originally pictured in my head but I think that it turned out great!

Hello Baby

Hello!

I am soooooooooo excited! I got new Lawn Fawn stamps! And I picked up the 60 count ZIG CLEAN COLOR Real brush Markers! I'm in heaven!

My point is I am making new cards! Even though I have already done most of these challenges I am entering them again cuz why not? New Stamps!

I also purchased a new Cricut cartridge. . . . All Occasions Box Cards. LOVE IT! I create my own little pieces to decorate it with and use thin strips of acetate and foam tape to attach it. . . . I think that quite a few of my next cards are going to be box cards!

My Card. . . .

I used the All Occasions Box cartridge, I looked for the name of the actual card I used but didn't see one, It was the one with the ice cream on it.Obviously, I didn't use the decor that comes in the file. I delete all the little pieces and just cut off the parts attached to the boxes inner part so that I can attach my own.

So two of the new Lawn Fawn stamp sets that I got were Hello Baby and Plus One. The stork is from Plus One and the others are from Hello Baby. I stamped them in Simon Says Stamp Black ink, normally I also clear emboss these but this ink doesn't bleed when you use water on it and I was really excited to use my markers!  I colored them in using my NEW ZIG CLEAN COLOR Real brush Markers. I also used a ZIG Water brush to do the watercolor blending, Worked like a charm! I am so excited to use them on a lot of projects, all of them for a while to be honest! I die cut them out and attached them to the card with acetate and foam tape.

I put some enamel dots on the side flaps with the rattle die cut. With the Cricut file all the individual side panels are the same color. I wanted the side panels on the top flaps to be different then the bottom panels so I just sliced apart the ones I wanted to make different on the file. As my son would say, "Easy-Peasy Lemon Squeezy" LOL!

I finished with a sentiment stamped on white paper and Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry attached right to the front panel. I added some enamel dots as well to finish. The file also cuts a matching envelope but the cards are sized to fit into and A2 envelope so for this one I cut just the card, and it does fit in the envelope with a little room to spare.

If I thought that I finally had a good way to photograph my cards, all that went out the window with these. They throw shadow like crazy and it's not just one side you have to capture. But I'm pretty happy with my photos so far.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Lucky You - Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog

Fantabulous Cricut

Lucky You

My Card. . . .

Challenge: Monochromatic      And I LOVE Green!

Everything was cut with my Explore, Lucky was from the Suburbia cartridge, the you is from a bigger phrase from Boho Graphics, I just sliced off the rest of the phrase and the Clover is from Home For the Holidays.

It became a shaker card cuz right now I'm slightly obsessed with making shaker cards. . . .

I also cut everything from glitter paper except for you and the clover, I left the you as is but coated the clover with two layers of green Wink of stella....

See you next time!

Check out all the great entries!

My Card. . .

I used the SSS Birthday Bits Stamp Set

I found these awesome cards at Michaels this weekend that have this banner already cut out of them and I thought it would be great for a birthday card! I used Distress Ink in Spun Sugar at the top of the card for some color and it matches the balloon on the tag.I stamped the little striped triangle into the cut out on the card, so these are stamped on the inside so I also stamped a sentiment on the inside.

I die cut the tag from some patterned paper to get the two birthday balloons, stamped the sentiment with SSS black ink and added some silver ribbon on the tag. I also cut a strip of matching pattern paper to go at the bottom of the card. I mixed the Distress ink Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade to get an orange that matches the orange balloon and flicked color on the top portion of the card. I added a few light pink sticker dots.

I love this card! I had an idea for the cut outs that wouldn't work on this card so I will be using this card again for sure!

See you next time!

Find Your Wings

My Card. . . .

The Challenge for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week was Recycle/Upscale, I had this piece of metallic tissue paper that was a part of the packaging for a gift I received. I was going to throw it away but then decided to use for some texture on the back ground. I mixed some white glue with water making a decoupage and coated the panel, laid down the tissue paper, with crinkles in to create some texture then put more of the glue on top. While it was wet I used Distress Ink in Victorian Velvet, Gathered Twigs and Broken China to give it some color and also did a light wash with some Galaxy Gold for some more shimmer. I put concentrated dots of color on the wrinkles of the tissue paper, the color just followed the wrinkle which I liked a lot.

I got a Recollections stamp set from Michael's this weekend, and used one of the feather stamps to put some images in the top right and bottom left corner. I only did the  Distress Ink in Victorian Velvet,  Broken China and Galaxy Gold because I didn't want the feather to pull to much away form the card.

I did use all the colors when I stamped the feathers on the card front so that the exposed part under the shaker wouldn't be stark white. I used brown, light pink, gold and teal sequins in the shaker and also on the card front.

I finished it with a saying form the stamp set stamped in black ink and adhered it with some foam tape.

I absolutely love this card, I think it is very beautiful and I will probably use this process again.

I made this card for the following challenges:
