Pineapple

My Card . . . .

I saw this saying on pinterest and just had to make something. I actually made two vinyl mugs and a card. I recently purchased a new card stock pack that has pineapples all up in it!

I die cut my base panel with Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die, then used my Cricut Explore to cut everything else, the pineapples, yellow and green background and the saying in vinyl so I could easily place it on my card.

I put a little bit of antique photo Distress ink on the right side of my pineapples and at the top of my yellow panel and put some crushed olives on the top of my pineapples and used foam tape for the pineapples to give it some dimension. I finished the card with some green and pink doodlebug glitter enamel dots.

Here are the mugs I made. The yellow one has two sides, I put everything together on the white one...

You're So Sweet

You're So Sweet

My Card. . . .

Holy Cow! This card totally pushed my out of my comfort zone. I participated in a sketch challenge and it really made me do something that I wouldn't normally do!

I die cut the brown paper with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle dies, I used the biggest on for my base panel and then skipped a size and used the next one for my two inner panels using Lawn Fawn paper in Mermaid for my second inner panel. My second panel is from a Recollections 6x6 called Bohemian, I liked it for this card because it had two different shades of this teal color I wanted to use.

I lined up my panels according to the challenge sketch and used some Lawn Fawn Trimmings on the bottom, it matched my Recollections paper perfectly! The other challenges for this card were to incorporate food or something sweet so I hit two birds with one stone and used this cotton candy from the Lawn Fawn Admit One stamp set, colored with Zig Clean Color Markers and coated with some stickles. I stamped a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Sweet Smiles stamp set in brown and added a few sequins.

I LOVE this card! I am so glad that I decided to participate in the sketch challenge and cannot wait for the next one!

The Sky's The Limit

The Sky's The Limit

My card. . . .

I used Lawn Fawn Blue Skies stamp set.

I used a Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle die for my bottom panel, I choose a blue glitter paper so it could be my sky. I also cut the same size panel out of white so that I could cut clouds with the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud die and still have the stitching around the edges, this also gave me a place to stamp my sentiment without having to add another layer to my card. I stamped it in Color Box cats eye purple pigment ink and added a few stars.

I have this bohemien 6x6 paper pack from Recollections, and it has this great purple/pink/orange page in it and I thought this would be great for the coloring of the balloons! So I stamped both balloons and the swag with versa mark and heat embossed with liquid platinum embossing powder. I did put a purple star on the large balloon but it didn't show up very well so I stopped at one.

I added a few felt-like clouds I had and put some stickles along the top for some sparkle, I also added the same stickles to the swag. I used some foam tape on the large hot air balloon so that I could put it in front of the cloud and of course added some Doodlebug glitter enamel dots.

One of my sweet baby sisters just got accepted into the Radiologic Technology program and I wanted to send her something that lets her know she has got this and will be awesome!

Ever After

I finally got the Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After set!

My Card. . . .

I created a total of six cards, two each using the unicorn, dragon and griffin, with two different sentiments.

I stamped the images with Simon Says Stamp black ink and clear heat embossed them. I colored the images with Zig Clean Color markers, I went over the dragon belly and the unicorn body with a clear Winks of Stella and used the clear Winks of Stella to blend the colors on the castles so they just shimmer all over!

My card base is just some white 110 lbs paper, top folded. I cut coordinating colored paper for my bottom panel at 5x3.75. The next panel is a die cut from the Lawn Fawn stitched border dies. I used the Lawn Fawn puffy cloud dies twice in the white paper and then once on vellum to put between the white clouds.

I clear heat embossed the sentiments and then sponged matching distress ink to get those to pop! I also stamped the little star cluster in the same distress ink color.

I tucked the castle under the vellum cloud and placed the critter right on top on the opposite side of the card. I finished them with Doodlebug Sprinkles glitter enamel dots, that I just got and LOVE!

I just love this stamp set, it's so cute and there is still an adorable frog and great sentiment that I haven't even used yet!

Have an EGG-celent Easter

Have an Egg-celent Easter

My Card. . . .

I happened to have a card already cut and waiting in this lovely purple shade, it is a sheet of Simon Says Stamp card stock from the January card kit. I used pale yellow striped card stock for my bottom panel and sprayed it with perfect pearls for some shimmer. I die cut my top panel with a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die.

I used my Explore to cut the grass from Lawn Fawn polka in the meadow small polka dot green paper and also to cut the Easter eggs out. I adhered the Easter eggs and then colored them in with my Zig Clean Color markers. I layered the grass on top so the eggs were sitting in the grass. I also used my Explore to cut the sentiment from adhesive vinyl for super easy application!

I stamped this bunny from the Lawn Fawn Hello Baby stamp set, colored with the Zigs and die cut. I wanted to put something fluffy on the tail but I didn't have anything. . . . Then added some matching sequins with mini glue dots.

This card was created for two challenges:

I like this card but I might try it again without coloring in the Easter eggs, or maybe doing a watercolor under it instead of coloring it in after applying to the panel.

Tank You

Tank You

My card. . . .

Yay! Shaker Card!

I used craft foam to create my shaker window. I cut two pieces that were a little bit smaller then the white panel and put them together. The foam that I have has adhesive on the back so that was pretty easy.. I die cut a circle that was a little bit larger then the fish bowl die cut into the craft foam and I cut acetate big enough to cover the window and stamped the fish bowl on it with black Staz On.

Then I cut a circle one size bigger then circle that I put in the craft foam for the bottom of my shaker. I did a second generation stamping of the fish bowl so that I could color the background and place items on it. I used a Molotow masking pen to cover the items that I stamped so that I could easily watercolor the background.

I attached the background circle to the back of the foam and attached the acetate to the back of the front panel. I scooped about a 1/4 tsp of a Pretty Pink Posh sequin mix into my well. Then placed the front panel on the foam and attached the whole thing to the card front that has a piece of Lawn Fawn paper that was die cut with the Lawn Fawn largest stitched rectangle die.

I placed some coordinating sequins on the front and finished with some Perfect Pearl/Distress Ink splatter.

I made a total of 4 of these. . . .

MAKE A WISH

MAKE A WISH

My Card. . . .

I used Lawn Fawn stamp sets Starry backdrops and Hello Baby for this card.

I started this card out by making my own background, using the Lawn Fawn Starry backdrops stamp. I then colored in the open stars with a green winks of Stella pen. I layered it on a Lawn Fawn Black stripe panel and then a panel of Lawn Fawn Licorice paper and I added some Virginia Turtle glitter enamel dots.

I used the Lawn Fawn stitched borders to create a tag from Lawn Fawn Licorice paper for my sentiment, also from Lawn Fawn Starry backdrops stamp. I stamped in versa mark ink and white heat embossed.

I also white heat embossed the frog from Lawn Fawn Hello Baby and did a water color wash over him and die cut him out. I think his little white eye is kinda creepy, lol! On the lily pad I took a zig clean color brush marker in light green and colored right on the stamp and stamped to the paper. It kinda gave it some texture, you could see the brush flow. I took the same green week of Stella and gave the lily pad a little shading. I put some gold stickles on the frogs crown.

I really like this card, I like the absence of color.

Unbelievable!

Craftin Desert Divas

Have an Unbelievable Birthday!

I made a set of cards today, I am trying to stock up for a craft show I have on 4/2/16.

My cards. . . .

I used the new Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends Stamp and Die set. I also used Lawn Fawn paper, The new perfectly plaid, polka in the meadow and polka in the dark. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle dies cut get the plaid/striped layer and the white layer.

I used distress ink to water color my images, added dark flecks of color and used stickles for some sparkle, Gotta Have Sparkle! Finished with some colored sequins attached with glue dots, which are amazing!

So I made four super cute cards, fairly quickly, once I figured out what I was going to do. . . .  Looking forward to apply this same method the the Critters Ever After stamp set.
