KEEPIN' COOL

I made this card using a digi stamp from Craftin Desert Divas, Cool Summer. I uploaded it into my Silhouette Portrait, printed it and them cut it out. I colored it using copic markers and used a grey glitter pen on the glasses.

I took a piece of distress watercolor card stock and used tumbled glass for the sky portion then I used the cloud stamps from Strawberry Jude stamps Rainbows and Roses stamp set. I used a wave border die and cut a post it note and used it as a stencil to apply the salty ocean distress ink for the water. I distressed it with some water flicks and dabbed it off. After that dried I added my sentiment.  

I cut my slider track into the panel using Lawn Fawns Slid eon Over dies. I attached my rhino to a penny through the track for my sliding mechanism. I attached the panel to my card front using a double layer of foam tape so that my penny would slide freely. I finished my card by adding some enamel dots.

This little rhino is super cute and I love my background with those clouds!

Craftin Desert Divas - Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello, Happy Tuesday!!

Thanks for stopping by the Craftin Desert Divas blog today!

I have a Thanksgiving card to share with you today.

I used the digi image Lil' Gobbler, free for the November Mood Board Social Media Challenge, you can request it on the Craftin Desert Divas Gallery Facebook page

I printed the digi image on some heavy weight paper and colored it with prismacolor colored pencil and used gamsol to blend out the color. If you have never used that stuff it is awesome!!!! I used black glaze pen on the hat, a gold Winks of Stella pen on the buckle, and added some white highlight to the tips of the feathers.

I started with a base panel of orange paper and used a circle die from Stiched in circle die set. I off set the die just a little and then placed my turkey in the middle.

For my sentiment I used the thanks die from the Greeting Word Die Set. I die cut it on watercolor paper, colored it with red, orange and yellow Zig Clean color markers and then sprayed it with some perfect pearl water to get all the colors to blend together. The perfect pearl water wasn't enough sparkle for me so I also put a coat of Winks of stella glitter brush pen on it.

I finished off the card with some doodlebug glitter enamel dots, because I really can't make a card without them! I love them sooo much!

Craftin Desert Divas - Hay There! - Monthly Social Media Challenge

Hello! 

We have a new challenge for Craftin Desert Divas! 

It is called the Monthly Social Media Challenge!

I used a Craftin Desert Divas Digi stamp, Tractor Giraffe.

I printed it on watercolor paper and colored it in with distress inks.

I used a striped embossing folder on my base panel of kraft paper, centered my image in a square

 and added a red border to go along with this months theme. 

I finished it off with some red enamel dots. 

I love this little tractor image, it is sooo cute!

For our Monthly Challenge we will have one theme a month with an inspiration mood board that will be posted in our Facebook Gallery group. To be eligible to win you must create a new project using CDD products: stamps, digi stamps, dies, ect. that go along with the monthly theme.

After you add your project to the album on the gallery, you must share your project on social media and tag Craftin Desert Diva’s in your post with the hashtag #CDDMONTHLY to be eligible to win.
