Gone Fishing Suspended Shaker Card

Gone Fishing

Hello!

I made this card using a set from the Strawberry Jude Stamps September release that is available starting September 1st!

I stamped my images unto watercolor paper and colored them with Mission gold watercolors. I tried to make the fish look like rainbow trout. . . I added wink of Stella and put a shiny coat of glossy accents on them. . . They look so pretty!

I cut my base panel from watercolor paper as well and did a few layers of a green wash.

I created a little shaker window for my pond. 

I wanted my fish to stay in one place so I suspended them on a piece of fishing line. 

They still wiggle when you shake it but they don't get all flipped around or buried by the sequins.

I placed the moose at the top of my pond using foam tape and placed this one little fish like he was jumping out of the lake!

I made this full front shaker card using Lawn Fawn Year 7 stamp and Stitched rectangle dies.

I colored the image with copic markers so I stamped the image suing the Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink that is copic friendly. I used the matching dies to cut out the pinata and the little pieces of candy.

I then used the two largest rectangle dies to create my frame from Lawn Fawns Perfectly Plaid Rainbow pack of paper and the largest rectangle for the acetate window. I placed my frame on the front of the acetate window.

I wanted my pinata to stay in the middle of the card so I sandwiched it to some clear fishing line. I laid one layer of foam on the frame and placed the fishing line so that the pinata stayed in the middle but still had some room to swing around. Then I placed the second layer of foam tape on the frame.

For the back panel I also used the largest rectangle die. I stamped the sentiment that came with the stamp using the Distress Oxides in Seedless Preserves. I glued down the candy pieces and a few sequins. I added more sequins to the acetate window with frame and placed my back panel on to close it up and placed it on a side folding card

This was a super quick and easy card.

I used a black polka dot paper for my base panel, and Neenah card stock for my white panel and  cut them with Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies. I layered some school washi tape cut with a flag end.

I used Strawberry Jude Stamps Don't Forget School Icons and placed a few images above the washi tape. I kept them black to keep it the card kinds basic. I took some black washi tape and covered a scrap paper and die cut the thanks using Create a Smile die. I added a few black and red glitter enamel dots to finish off the card.

YAY! It's back to school time! 
Yes, I am excited but my son is also very excited! 
He loves going to school and is looking forward to being a 1st grader!

So for this week I am using the Don't Forget School: Icons stamp set. 
It has lots of small images perfect for back to school.

This card was super easy to create and I think it looks great!

I used the Hello Sunflower stamp set from Strawberry Jude Stamps. I stamped it in the corner of a watercolor panel. Then I used yellow and painted all around the image and then used just water to pull the paint out to cover the panel to get a gradient effect.

After it dried I added a thank you die cut and some clear raindrops.

Hope Your Birthday Is A SMASH!

I used the Year Seven Lawn Fawn stamp for this cute birthday card. 

I started with created a base panel using watercolor paper. I added my sentiment first. . . I followed the sentiment that came with the set but for the last word I used Quinns ABC's. I did this so that I could color the last word and really get it to stand out! 

I added three sections of color to create the background and colored in my letters using watercolors. I chose these colors because they kinda make more of a masculine card and I have a hard time doing those! 

I stamped my image with Copic friendly ink and colored them using Copics. I used the matching die to cut them out and then adhered them right to my base panel.

I really like how this card turned out. . . It was pretty easy to create, in fact I made 10 for a card swap!
